'Supernatural' Will Do an Animated Crossover Episode With 'Scooby-Doo'
The CW's Supernatural is no stranger to going outside the box, having broken the fourth wall, made fun of themselves, and gone super meta in the past. But when stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki took the stage at The CW’s Upfronts Presentation today to announce that the show is going to do a fully animated Scooby-Doo crossover episode in its upcoming 13th season, at first it was kind of hard to believe. Like, really, writers? Are you that bored with the universe you created? But on second thought, it makes perfect sense, because when your show is already well past syndication and 13 f*cking seasons in,why the f*ck wouldn't you do a fully animated crossover episode with Scooby-Doo?

The writer who pitched this idea was drunk two times over the legal limit and had been forced to watch re-runs of Scooby-Doo for eight hours straight with their kid who was sick the day before. That's the only logical explanation of how the hell this came to be.
The CW didn't announce exactly when the episode will air, and it's unclear as to whether or not the rest of the Scooby-Doo cast will appear in the episode. That said, if the B-story isn't about a love triangle between the brothers and Velma, they will make at least one fan VERY disappointed.
