10 Mistakes in Disney Animated Movies You Probably Didn't Notice

While all Disney animated movies have many, many outstanding qualities, not a single one of them was able to leave the editing room without an imperfection or two. (But that just makes us love them more because NOBODY'S PERFECT!) Check out 10 mistakes in Disney animated movies that slipped by the writers, animators, and editors below...

Beauty and the Beast

Beast is initially cursed by the Enchantress when he is 10 or 11 years old, because the curse says he must find someone to love him by the time he turns 21, and we know that 10 years have passed at the time Belle arrives. This means this grown-man painting of Beast as a Prince shouldn't even exist.

Up

Gotta call out a serious physics error here because the number of balloons in the movie would NOT be able to lift that entire house. Apparently Pixar tried to be accurate about this, but in the end who cares because this movie was definitely not made for physicists (at least not exclusively).

Toy Story

Buzz Lightyear is convinced he is a Space Ranger and NOT a toy at the beginning of the movie, but if that's a case, why does he freeze whenever Andy walks in the room? Wouldn't he try to laser Andy or befriend him at first? Feels like a BIG missed opportunity for a very funny scene in which Woody and the other toys have to strap Buzz down and convince him to play along.

Cinderella

Cinderella's happily ever after is a LIE, because in one shot of her and Prince Charming in the carriage she has a long-sleeved wedding dress, and in another the dress has short, puffy sleeves. Dreams DO come true but not when it comes to wearing two dresses at once, Cindy.

The Incredibles

The Incredibles is set in an animated version of the 1960s where superheroes have been forced to retire. While many of the newspaper clippings Mr. Incredible kept from his "golden years" of being a hero accurately reflect this timeline, the one above has a date of September 16, 2002.

Frozen

Hans seems to magically draw his sword from a sheath in his belt that doesn't exist when he attempts to kill Elsa in the climactic scene, because it was definitely not there when he was knocked down in the shot prior.

Tangled

Flynn shows us what love is when he cuts off Rapunzel's hair so she can be free, but in the tender moment where he touches her face right after he makes the decision the shackles are suddenly not in the close-up shot of Rapunzel's face. Is it a metaphor or a mistake? Shhhh let's just say it's a metaphor and go with it...

The Lion King

Nala's big, beautiful lioness eyes switch from green to blue throughout The Lion King, but hey maybe we can blame VHS for this one? Either way, hopefully they will rectify this in the upcoming remake because Beyonce will NOT stand for this kind of continuity error in her character, dammit!

Pocahontas

When Pocahontas goes with her friend Whatshername to see John after he's been captured, the friends are clearly holding hands as they walk together, but their shadows do not reflect this.

Finding Nemo

In the real world, there would be no light inside the whale no matter how big its blow hole is, so really this entire scene should have been depicted in pitch black. JUST SAYIN'!
