7 Cheap Beauty Hacks That Are Also Easy AF
Beauty products these days are rarely cheap or convenient. That's why we've compiled a list of cheap and easy beauty hacks you can try because a) life is hard enough without having to spend 20 minutes contouring your damn face with $60 melted brown crayon goo, and b) they ACTUALLY WORK!
1. Make your mascara last with eye drops
There's a lot more mascara in that tube, you just have to know how to get the most out of it! Refresh your dried-up mascara tube by dropping in four or five drops of generic eye drop solution and stirring with your brush. Suddenly you don't have to go buy a whole new mascara for like, a WEEK!
2. Shave your legs with coconut oil
Who doesn't have coconut oil in their kitchen these days? This tip is as basic as it sounds, because all you have to do is stop buying useless shaving cream and start using coconut oil to lather up your legs before shaving. Not only is this cheaper, but it will also be a much smoother shave.
3. Get soft feet with Vaseline + socks
This trick is an oldie but a goodie! For soft n' smooth feet, simply rub Vaseline on them, put on a big ol' pair of socks, and then sleep in them! In the morning, you can go get a pedicure and feel 80% less self-conscious!
4. Use salt + water to get rid of pimples
You don't need to spend a fortune on fancy face wash to get rid of acne if you've got some sea salt in the cupboard. For this, use the a tablespoon full sea salt crystals with a couple drops of water, and mix them together until they form a paste. Apply it to the zits and leave it on between 30 minutes and two hours until the solution has mostly dried up.
5. Make your lipstick last with powder
Save yourself from having to reapply your lipstick all day (and therefore running out of it faster) by placing a tissue over your lips, and then lightly brushing some loose powder over the tissue. It sounds like it doesn't work, but it totally works.
6. Use toilet seat covers for blotting paper
Blotting papers by Rihanna's Fenty line can cost you $16 at Sephora, but you can get basically the same material to blot your face for FREE from most public restrooms.
7. Use an old t-shirt to dry your hair instead of a towel
Towels cause friction, which causes frizzy hair, but t-shirts are crazy absorbent and won't cause frizz! So now you don't have to buy all those fancy anti-frizz oils and sprays! (I mean maybe you do, I don't know your situation, but this will definitely alleviate some of the frizz).
